How to Reshare a Post as a Story

This section covers how to reshare a post as a Story using the Instagram mobile app.

Step 1: Introduction
Open your Instagram app. If you have an established account, click on the home button to navigate to your feed. If you have a specific post you'd like to share, click the magnifying glass and search for the account name.
Step 2: Click the paper airplane icon
Once you have found a post you want to reshare, either from your feed or by searching an account directly, scroll to the bottom of the post. There, you will see a paper airplane icon; click on that.
Step 3: Click Add to story
This will prompt you to the reshare window, click the first option "add post to story".
Step 4: Edit your story
You will then see the post in your story editor mode. Here you can add music, text, stickers, and more. We recommend playing around with features once you want to become a more active user. Once your post loads, click the white arrow.
Step 5: Click “Share”
It will ask you if you want to share the post with your feed or close friends. Leave it as the default, which is to your feed, and then click share.
Step 6: View your story
You will see a circle around your profile picture, meaning your story has been posted. Click into your profile picture to view the story, and you're all set!
