Why using hashtags matter
Why hashtags matter—and how they impact Link Humans scores
To ensure your posts are being accurately tracked and attributed to MVH, it’s important to use the right hashtags. These are the hashtags we encourage MVH leaders to include consistently:
#ProudlyMVH
#LifeatMVH
#MarsVeterinaryHealth
#ABetterWorldforPets
#UnitedInCare
Here’s how hashtags and attributes work hand-in-hand in Link Humans:
Hashtags help Link Humans attribute to which brand a post is about.
For example, if you use #ProudlyMVH, Link Humans will count that mention toward MVH’s brand-level visibility and mention volume. The more these hashtags are used, the stronger MVH’s Employer Brand Index (EBI) presence becomes.
Keywords and themes in your post will then help Link Humans classify the post into one or more of the 16 Employer Brand Attributes.
For example, If your post talks about teamwork or collaboration, Link Humans will assign it to “Team & People” and analyze the sentiment.
So even if your post reflects a key attribute, it won’t be tied back to the MVH brand unless a branded hashtag is used.
In short:
Hashtag = links your content to MVH
Keywords/themes = links your content to what you're saying (the attribute)
Using both = stronger visibility, better data, and higher EBI scores
Your content as a leader is powerful. By pairing the right messages with the right hashtags, you’re making your impact both meaningful and measurable.
Conclusion
Link Humans gives us the evidence we need to evolve from good intentions to intentional impact in how we show up as an employer. For MVH leaders, this means:
Championing authentic storytelling aligned with the 16 attributes
Supporting recruiters and associates to share what’s real and meaningful
Using insights from content performance and sentiment to guide what we amplify
Consistently using hashtags to ensure our stories are tied back to the MVH brand
Together, we have an opportunity to not just tell people what it’s like to work at MVH—but to show them in a way that’s honest, inspiring, and backed by data.
