How to Use the Repost Feature on Instagram for Mobile

This tutorial will teach you how to reshare someone else’s post directly to your profile using Instagram’s new Repost feature. It’s a powerful way to spotlight meaningful stories from across the Mars Veterinary Health network and foster greater connection.

Step 1: Scroll your feed or visit a public profile to find a reel or post you’d like to repost. You can only repost from public accounts—even if you follow a private account, the repost option won’t appear.

Step 2: Under the post (next to Like and Comment), tap the two arrows icon to repost that post immediately.

Step 3: As confirmation that your repost was successful, the icon will briefly animate and the repost count will increase by one.

Step 4: Navigate back to your profile page. Your repost tab will now appear next to your Posts and Reels tabs. You can now view your reposts here. You're all set, great job!
